365/52 winner and top 9...

Wow to the first week. I was not expecting to have so many images come in. I was actually thinking in the beginning I would have to extend the top 10 another week thinking I wouldn't get enough. I am floored at how many are participating. Invite your friends that want to participate. We have a flickr group pool as well as a Facebook group. You are welcome to upload to both groups. Just please if you only upload to flickr and want chance at top 10 feature you have to have your settings on downloads are ok. I had to pass up on a lot on images this week due to me not being able to download them off flcikr. :( If you don't want to change your settings just make sure you upload to the Facebook group as well then. Gorgeous gorgeous images coming in. Thank you all for being here with me and participating. I love seeing everyone's images and being inspired daily. Each week there will be a top 10 I choose and one winning image and top 9 feature. The winning image is nothing else other than either my favorite image of the week or an image that jumped out at me in some special way. These are images that catch my eye, jump out to me or have a unique story. Please, if your images are not chosen don't think I didn't love your images or your work. I love each and everyone that comes through here for their own reasons. It is hard to choose only 10 images amongst so many. Lets move on to so beautiful inspiration.

Ana Rosenberg.

"I chose this image as winning image because when I saw it I literally gasped. It stopped me in my tracks. not only is she gorgeous but everything about this image is striking. The light, the conversion, the grain. I love how her hair wisps across her forehead. That right there made the whole image for me. Amazing shot Ana."

"The creative interpretation of the theme in this particular image is what really jumped out at me. Typically when one hears the word wonder, they envision the face of the person, staring in rapt awe and delight at someone or something. But instead, the artist here successfully accomplished this in an excellent, faceless composition, straight and to the point, with a dreamy processing and tones that make me feel the same curiosity this sweet child must have felt as they reached for the plump, enticing fruit. I imagine their face is full of wonder, fascination and curiosity. And a little bit of strong willed determination. Well done!" ~Christine

Winer and top 10 "Almost canned"

What a beautiful week of images. So many times do my favorite images of mine end up being the ones I almost threw away but didn't. So hang on to those photos for a while and look back at them or even try to edit them. Sometimes after you edit them you say wow.

Each week we will have a top 9 feature and a winning image. The winning image will grace our cover photo for the week until the next weeks winner is chosen. our guest judge this week was Jennifer of Photographs by Jennifer. Let's see her picks.

Winning image...

"I feel like I could have chosen this image as winner for a million different reasons. It fits the theme first of all. A picture that at first might be tossed to the side. Not perfect technically...but there's a story there. Such a great story. I kept going back to it. The light, the color and the fact that I want to see where he's going and what he's doing next. All this makes it interesting, and that makes it a keeper! Well done Cara! I am so glad that all of you chose not to can these gorgeous images, and I hope this theme was a reminder to take a second loo before you toss that "bad" photograph. Give it a day or a week and see if you don't fall in love with it. I bet you do." ~Jennifer

"As soon as I saw this image I burst into tears. This image is such a beautiful mess. Having a child is amazing and scary and your whole heart now lives outside your body in one big messy moment. I feel like this image will forever be engraved in my mind. It's how all of us moms feel about our children. It's such a beautiful mess being a mom in general. And I'd like to welcome this momma to that beautiful mess. Thanks for the amazing image." ~Nicole
